Career Highlights: A sophomore at Davidson College in North Carolina, Queen qualified for her first Olympics by finishing 35th in the K-1 on June 9th at the World Cup, edging out teammate Ashley Nee in order to secure the final American boat for the Games. Queen, who also plays field hockey for Davidson, decided to take a semester off from school to focus on earning an Olympic spot. She attempted to qualify for the Beijing Games at 16 years old but came up short. Queen was unable to race in 2009, after suffering a knee injury that forced her to miss the team trials that year. She finished first at last year's nationals.
