Career Highlights: Tied for the top ranking in the United States in women’s epee and the 18th spot in the world - both with sister Kelley, an alternate for London - Hurley qualified for her first Olympics. She helped the U.S. team win its first-ever World Cup medal in women’s epee this year, a silver at the St. Maur Epee World Cup in France. Hurley is coached by her father Bob. A member of the last five senior world championship teams and six overall, Courtney qualified for her first U.S. team at age 14 on the 2005 junior and cadet world team. She upset 2011 senior world champion Na Li of China at the Barcelona Epee World Cup in March, finishing 16th in the competition. Hurley was a two-time All-American at Notre Dame and won the 2011 national individual championship with the Irish as well as earning gold in the team competition.
