Cycling GigapanPhotographer David Bergman created this Gigapan during the 2012 Olympics women's cycling sprint final at the Velodrome in London, UK on August 7, 2012. He made the composite photo by shooting 180 individual photos in a grid pattern (20 across by 9 down) throughout the event. The final high-resolution image is 96,809 X 29,704 -- almost three billion pixels. Australian Anna Meares won the gold medal by beating her rival, Great Britain's Victoria Pendleton. |
