Posted: Thu February 12, 1998 at 4:58 AM ET NAGANO, Japan (CNN/SI) -- Canada's women curlers have improved to 5-1 in the Olympic round robin with a 7-5 victory over Sweden. Sandra Schmirler and her Regina crew fell behind 2-0, but came back with three in the third to take the lead. Sweden tied it in the fourth but Canada went ahead to stay with single points in the fifth and sixth ends and two in the seventh. The loss drops Sweden into a first-place tie with Canada in the round robin. Britain and Denmark share second place at 4-2. The British women beat Germany 6-5 while Denmark prevailed 6-4 over Japan. The other Draw Six game saw Norway shade the U.S. 9-8. Japan and Norway are 2-4 -- the Germans and Americans are 1-5.
