Known more for her prowess in the 100-meter hurdles, Devers instead showed off her blazing speed to win the 100 meters and the title of world's fastest woman. Remarkably, just 18 months earlier Devers had nearly lost her feet after an adverse reaction to radiation treatments for Graves' disease, a thyroid condition.
