SAN DIEGO (Ticker) -- Two-time Olympic gold medalist Justin Huish headlined the six-member U.S. archery team selected Sunday to compete in the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney, Australia.

Huish will be joined by Vic Wunderle and Shane Parker on the men's team, while Janet Dykman, Karen Scavotto and Denise Parker comprise the women's team.

Wunderle finished first in the two-day Olympic Trials with 5,332 total points. Huish was second with 5,238 points and Parker third with 5,214 after falling to fifth at one point during today's second day of competition.

Huish won both the individual and team gold medals at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Wunderle, a two-time junior world champion, and Parker will be competing in their first Olympics.

The women's squad ranges from ages 17-45. Dykman, 45, finished first in the Olympic Trials with 5,115 total points. Scavotto, 17, was second with 5,113 points and the 25-year-old Parker third with 5,106 points.

Dykman was a member of the 1996 Olympic Team where she finished 16th overall. Parker is a two-time Olympian, winning a team bronze medal at the 1988 Olympics when she was only 14 and also was a member of the 1992 team. Scavotto was a member of the 1998 Junior World Championship team and is a four-time junior national champion. This will be Scavotto's first Olympics.

The men's team will be coached by Lloyd Brown and the women will be coached by Nancy Myrick.
