Paula Radcliffe, Great Britain   Destination:   Stu Forster/Allsport 2000 Sydney Olympics track and field competition Hometown/Traveling from: Winsford, Cheshire/Bedford Personal: Age: 25 Height: 5'7"   Radcliffe has a degree in European languages from Loughborough University. She has set British records in the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters. She ran a personal best time of 30:27.13 in the 10,000 meters at the 1999 World Championships. Her great aunt Charlotte Radcliffe won an Olympic swimming silver medal in 1920 as part of a 4x100 freestyle relay team. Accomplishments: 1999 World Championships, 2nd, 10,000 meters 1999 European Cup, 1st, 5,000 meters 1998 World Cross Country Championships, 2nd 1998 European Championships, 5th, 10,000 meters 1998 European Cup, 1st, 5,000 meters; 2nd, 1,500 meters 1997 World Cross Country Championships, 2nd 1997 European Cup, 3rd, 3,000 1997 World Championships, 4th, 5,000 meters 1996 Olympic Games, 5th, 5,000 meters Currently: Radcliffe opted not to try and defend her European Cross Country Championship this month, but has decided to focus on her Olympic training.
