Dmitri Sautin, Russia   Destination:   Robert Beck 2000 Sydney Olympics diving competition Traveling from: Vorenezh, Russia Personal: Age: 26 Height: 5'7"   The results from January's FINA World Cup -- a first-place finish in the three-meter springboard and second in the 10-meter platform -- would indicate that Sautin, perhaps the world's top all-around diver, is back in form after 1998 surgery to treat chronic back pain. Sautin has dominated the springboard and platform competitions since 1991. Achievements: 2000 FINA World Cup, 3m springboard, 1st; 10m platform, 2nd 1999 European Championships, 10m platform, 1st; 3m springboard, 6th 1998 World Championships, 3m springboard and 10-meter platform, 1st 1998 Goodwill Games, 3m springboard and 10m platform, 1st 1997 European Championships, 3m springboard, 1st 1997 FINA World Cup, 3m springboard and 10m platform, 1st 1996 Olympic Games, 10m platform, 1st 1995 European Championships, 3m springboard, 1st; 10m platform, 3rd 1994 World Championships, 10m platform, 1st; 3m springboard, 2nd 1994 European Championships, 10m platform, 1st; 3m springboard, 2nd 1994 Goodwill Games, 3m springboard, 1st 1992 Olympic Games, 3m springboard, 3rd 1991 European Championships, 10m platform, 2nd Currently: In Sydney, Sautin will be trying to become the first non-U.S. man to win both the platform and springboard events at the same Olympics. He is also looking to become the fifth man to win consecutive platform titles.
