Life and career have changed
Debbie Ferguson won a silver medal at the 1996 Olympics as part of the Bahamas' 400-meter relay team. She enjoyed a record-setting collegiate career at the University of Georgia where she was a 19-time All-American and a four-time NCAA champion and broke Gwen Torrence's school records in the 100 and 200 meters. Debbie is now training for Sydney, where she plans to compete in the 400 relay, 100 and 200 meters. Check out her diary every two weeks on CNNSI.com.

Welcome to Debbie's World. In my quest for Sydney, I appreciate all the support that I have received. In just a few days the Bahamian Olympic trials will be over and done with. Congrats to Marion Jones on a fantastic run in the 100 meters (10.88 seconds). I would like to say a brief thank you to Dr. Natalia Kogan (chiropractic neurologist). I was plagued with back problems and groin problems for the past three years. I met Dr. Kogan just about eight weeks ago, and since then my life and career have changed. From headaches, backaches, insomnia, stress and the list goes on and on, she has helped and continues to help eliminate the problem instead of treating the symptoms. Thanks to all the other doctors who have assisted in their own way. Chiropractic neurologists are very special and there are only about 500 of them in the world. Thank you again, Dr. Kogan. Now for some questions:
Will you ever move up to the 400 meters?
Pat, I would hate to do so, but if it is in my best interest and my coach approves, then I will.
I am a big fan of you, and I would like to know what time you
think you'll have to run the 100 and 200 meters to obtain the gold in
Sydney?
Say hello to Deon. Tell her good luck for the Jamaican trials. I assume if the weather is good, then I would have to run 10.60 to 10.80 seconds in the 100 and 21.65 to 21.80 in the 200 in order to win. All things are possible through Christ. -- Debbie
