Hey there.

I'm back home from Japan and loving our Australian weather!

It was 34 degrees with 90 percent humidity over there, and I felt like I'd walked into a sauna and nobody could find the off button! On top of all that we managed to survive no less than two earthquakes!

Besides the temperature, I love Japan. It's so very clean and organized. The triathlons are well run and despite the raging heat, there were so many enthusiastic spectators cheering us on.

The race in Japan went very well, especially for this time of the year.

I managed to finish second behind my training partner Chris Hill. I was very worried before the race how I would perform and was expecting to finish somewhere in the top ten, so I was very pleased with the result.

After the race I stayed on an extra day for a "shoe show" where I signed a thousand and one autographs at the New Balance shoe stand and spoke to lots of keen triathletes. I forget sometimes how popular our sport is.

All in all, it was a very successful weekend for me, but I'm glad to be home again training.

I'm not planning anything in the immediate future now, just training, eating and sleeping.

Thanks for all the letters. Please write in with any questions

Until next time.

--Miles
