ST. ANN, Mo. (AP) -- Lisa Fernandez found a way to top her own perfection.

Fernandez, a pitcher for the U.S. Olympics softball team, struck out all 21 batters Friday night against a team of St. Louis high school and collegiate all-stars in her fifth consecutive perfect game.

"This was the first time I've struck out every batter I've faced. It's an absolute awesome feeling," Fernandez said after the U.S. Olympic team's 5-0 win. "Tonight was the first time I was really nervous on the mound, and I really wanted to throw another perfect game."

Fernandez, 29, has retired the last 111 batters she's faced.

"To throw four perfect game is unbelievable. Five is absolutely unheard of," teammate Dot Richardson said.

The Olympic-bound team is on tour this summer, facing teams across the nation. They are 48-0 since starting the tour June 2.
