The next generation of British boxers emerges
Audley Harrisson and Courtney Frey, have been given the responsibility to carry on the success achieved by British boxers in recent times. They tirelessly train at the famous North London Repton Boy's Club, which has provided British boxing teams with a considerable number of stars. Harrisson, the Commonwealth Super Heavyweight Amateur champion, believes that it won't take long before he begins climbing the ropes as a professional. "I have modeled my framework on Lennox Lewis' because I have seen that's the right way to go, you got to get your credentials and serve the pedigree, and just can't wait," Harrisson says. "After Lewis, I'm definitely the man coming through, and I think three years down the road I can see myself fighting for a genuine world title." Harrisson's desire to get to the top at Sydney is shared by Frey, who will represent Britain as a light heavyweight challenger. "It's not beyond the realm of possibility for me to come back with a medal," Frey says. "I'm in one of the best clubs in Europe. With the right attitude I should get a result and a lot depends on the jury as well, I should get straight through, hopefully." Harrisson and Frey are seen by many boxing experts as the future replacement for the likes of Lennox Lewis, and their potential is likely to secure either of them a place on the top of the podium at Sydney.
