Syndey, Australia

What have you been doing since the Opening Ceremonies?

Since the Opening Ceremonies I have been training and trying to stay focused. The Village is great but can get quite loud at times. I have been to the arcade and met some really nice athletes from other countries. My parents are here and I have been visiting with them.

What have you been doing to prepare for your competition while in Sydney?

I have stayed on the same schedule that has gotten me here. I have cut my training volume down some, but I still do the same workout with a few modifications.

What are your thoughts as competition draws near?

I am starting to feel a bit excited, and in the next few days that will turn into nervous energy. By Wednesday when I compete, I will be fired up and ready to go. I am thinking about the competition more as the time gets closer.

Have you had the chance to check out any other sports since the Games started?

I had a chance to go to a U.S.-Russia women's basketball game, and I cheered so loud I lost my voice! It was so exciting.
