SYDNEY, Sept 20 (AFP) - Cuba's Olympic baseball team suffered a stunning first Olympic baseball defeat here Wednesday, when they lost to the Netherlands.

The Cubans, champions in Olympic baseball since the sport was first introduced at the Barcelona games in 1992, crashed 4-2 to the Dutch underdogs.

They had won 19 consecutive games at the Olympics before the loss.
