SYDNEY, Sept 22 (AFP) - China's Zhan Xugang won the gold medal in the Olympic men's weightlifting 77kg category final here Friday.

Zhan won on lower bodyweight after both he and Viktor Mitrou of Greece had hoisted lifts totalling 367.5 each. Mitrou took silver while Armenia's Arsen Melikyan won bronze.
