SYDNEY, Sept 30 (AFP) - The Olympic men's football gold medal match went to penalties here on Saturday.

Spain and Cameroon were locked at 2-2 after regulation time and 30 minutes of sudden death extra time.

Spain played the entire extra period with only nine men but managed to cling on to force the match into penalties.
