All in all, Triple Play 97 offers good-looking and mindless arcade action without taking itself too seriously. It's fun to play, for a while, but its flaws are big enough to tarnish the overall package. Arcade baseball doesn't have to be perfect, but even arcade games can benefit from depth and consistency.
