SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- Brisbane Broncos captain Allan Langer won back his test job Monday for the October 9 match against New Zealand after leading his club to victory in the Australian Rugby League final Sunday. Langer was a controversial omission from the Australian team that lost the first test on April 24. He replaces Andrew Johns, who has been moved to hooker. Langer also takes over from injured Laurie Daley as captain for the Brisbane test. Nine Brisbane players were rewarded for Sunday's 38-12 victory over Canterbury and there were 11 changes from the side beaten 24-16 in the opening test in Auckland. Broncos prop Shane Webcke heads the list of new caps, with Canterbury frontrowers Darren Britt and Steve Price winning call-ups along with North Sydney utility Ben Ikin and Melbourne second-rower Robbie Kearns. Brisbane center Darren Smith, whose brother Jason has been picked at lock, will partner Steve Renouf while Gorden Tallis is in the second row. South Sydney fullback Tim Brasher has also been recalled and will play out of position on the wing.
