De Beer recalled to Springbok squad

CAPE TOWN, South Africa (Reuters) -- Fly-half Jannie de Beer has been recalled to the South African rugby union squad after an 18 month absence.

The Free State pivot was added for the Tri-Nations matches against Australia and New Zealand in place of the injured Henry Honiball.

De Beer, who recently joined English club Sale, played the last of his seven tests in December 1997.
