AUCKLAND, New Zealand (Reuters) -- Joeli Vidiri scored four tries as the Auckland Blues stormed to a 54-11 Super 12 victory over bottom-of-the-table Northern Bulls on Saturday.

Vidiri managed to score three tries in the first half despite being sent to sin bin for a high tackle on Bulls' fullback Hannes Venter.

He then scored the game's best try in the second half. After collecting the ball just inside the Bulls' half, the Blues winger kicked over the advancing Wynand Lourens, gathered on the full and then chipped over Venter before touching down under the posts.

"The backs were playing well and when you get good service you score tries. It was also nice that a couple of things I tried tonight came off," Vidiri said.

Blues fullback Adrian Cashmore also had a successful night, landing seven conversions.

The Pretoria-based Bulls had a number of scoring opportunities but poor handling, particularly by inside center Eugene Meyer who spilled two passes when the try line was in sight, meant they failed to capitalize.

Bulls openside flanker Schutte Bekker managed a consolation try in the 62nd minute.
