Switching sides Ex-Kiwi Collins signs deal to play for Australian sides
SYDNEY (Reuters) -- Potential All Black Justin Collins has signed for New South Wales Waratahs, opening the way for him to play for Australia, the Australian club said on Monday. The former New Zealand under-21 player has signed a three-year deal with the Australian Rugby Union and New South Wales Rugby Union and is now free to play for Australia. Collins, 26, who was born in the southern-most Australian state of Tasmania, has played in the Super 12 series for New Zealand clubs Waikato and Auckland. The Waratahs are also a Super 12 team. Collins was in contention for a place in the All Blacks squad to tour Europe next month.
