BRISBANE (Reuters) -- Queensland President's XV selectors named 1999 World Cup final try-scorer Ben Tune on Thursday in their side to play the British and Irish Lions on June 12 in Townsville.

Tune, 24, a winger who has scored 22 tries in 39 tests, is working to overcome a shoulder injury which forced him to miss Queensland's Super 12 semifinal loss against the ACT Brumbies two weeks ago.

The Lions are due to arrive in Perth on Saturday and play Western Australia state on June 8 before the Townsville game and then they play Queensland in Brisbane on June 16.

The touring side's match against Queensland will be another opportunity for Tune to impress Wallaby selectors ahead of the first test on June 30 in Brisbane.

Queensland President's XV: 15-Nathan Williams; 14-Ben Tune, 13-Junior Pelesasa, 12-Jason Ramsamy, 11-Scott Barton, 10-Shane Drahm, 9-Ben Wakely; 8-John Roe, 7-Scott Fava, 6-Tom McVerry, 5-Van Humphries, 4-Mike Mitchell; 3-Fletcher Dyson, 2-Sean Hardman, 1-Ricky Tyrell.
