Alexander, a sophomore at Iowa, became the first Hawkeyes sprinter and the third track athlete from her school to win an NCAA national indoor title when she placed first in the 400-meter dash in 52.16 seconds at this year's Division I championships in Fayetteville, Ark.

Morris, a senior attack at Massachusetts, leads the nation with 45 points; he has 16 goals and a Division I-best 29 assists for the Minutemen. The All-America has a 32-game point-scoring streak and has scored goals in 27 straight games. He was a Brine national player of the week.

YORK, PA. > Gymnastics
Kelly, a senior at Arizona State, won the all-around title -- the 20th of her career -- and helped the Sun Devils win the team championship at the NCAA North Central Regional. She also scored a 10.0 while winning the balance-beam competition in her final home meet and was named Pac-10 gymnast of the week for the third time this season.

Anthony,a senior forward at Ravenswood High, scored a total of 77 points in three Class AA tournament games, including 27 in the final, to lead the Red Devils to their first state championship. He finished his high school career with 1,705 points, a school record, and was named captain of the Class AA all-state team.

Swett, a sophomore at Lake Forest College, won the national three-meter title with a record score of 489.00 at the NCAA Division III women's swimming and diving championships in Northfield, Minn. She also won the one- and three-meter events at the Midwest Conference championships.

Elayna and Jerris, sophomore and senior righthanded pitchers, respectively, at Cascade High, threw no-hitters for their Cougars teams over a four-day period last month. The siblings had a combined 20 strikeouts.
