Cheseret, a senior at Arizona, swept the distance events at the Pac-10 track and field championships, winning the 1,500 and 5,000 meters and taking his third consecutive 10,000-meter title. He has 10 individual Pac-10 titles (two in cross-country) and eight track distance titles, the most in conference history.

Lytton, a sophomore at Southwestern College, won the NAIA Region IV individual championship and led the Moundbuilders to the team title. A week earlier he took the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference individual title by 12 strokes. He was named KCAC player of the year.

Gomez, a senior leftfielder at Louisiana-Lafayette, leads Division I of the NCAA with 29 home runs and was Sun Belt Conference player of the year. With her team-leading .446 batting average and 66 RBIs she helped the Rajun' Cajuns to the season and tournament titles. She has been invited to the World University Games selection camp.

Brandie, a sixth-grader at McKinley Elementary, bowled a 300 game in league competition at Country Lanes in Farmington, Mich., on April 23. She became -- at 12 years, 4 months and 11 days -- the youngest female in the United States to bowl a certified perfect game, breaking an 11-year-old record.

Salem, a junior outfielder at Alabama, batted .765 with 12 runs scored, 12 extra base hits, three stolen bases and two RBIs over a four-game period. He scored the winning run in all three Crimson Tide victories during that stretch and was named Louisville Slugger national player of the week.

HONOLULU > Wrestling
Hedin, 20, competing for the New York Athletic Club, won the 121-pound title in the FILA junior division at the Body Bar Women's National Championships. She was named the meet's outstanding wrestler and TheMat.com's wrestler of the week. It was her third straight FILA junior national win.
