Aeric, a senior tailback at Bowsher High, came into the game in the second quarter of the Rebels' season opener against Southview and rushed for 377 yards, breaking the Toledo City League record in his first high school football game. He has finished second in the 100 meters at the Ohio high school state meet for the past two years.
Taryn Rudland

Rudland, a senior middle hitter at Hillsdale College, had 37 kills, four solo blocks and a .481 hitting percentage over the course of three victories. She was named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division player of the week, and she leads the 16-0 Chargers and GLIAC with a .466 hitting percentage.
Mitch Gillis
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. > Golf
Gillis, a senior at Oregon State, won the Wolverine Intercollegiate by two strokes for his first collegiate golf victory. This summer he won three significant amateur titles: the Oregon Amateur, the Oregon Men's Stroke Play Championship and the Pacific Northwest Golf Association Public Links Championship.
Caitlin Gleason
NEW BOSTON, N.H. > Field Hockey
Gleason, a junior forward at Stonehill College, scored four goals and had two assists for 10 points in a pair of Skyhawks victories. She was chosen Northeast-10 field hockey player of the week and leads her 5-1 team in points (12) and assists (four) and is tied for the lead in goals (four).
Mike Grella
GLEN COVE, N.Y. > Soccer
Grella, a sophomore forward at Duke, scored two second-half goals to lead the Blue Devils to a 4-3 victory over Wake Forest. He was named Soccer America men's player of the week. Four of his seven goals have been game-winners, and he leads the team in goals, points (16), shots (29) and shots on goal (17).
