Corey, a senior righthanded pitcher at Hatboro-Horsham, pitched a complete-game, nine-inning shutout against William Tennent, striking out 22 batters and allowing three hits. In the bottom of the ninth Corey, a University of Delaware recruit, hit a walk-off grand slam for the 4-0 victory.

Gillin, a senior attacker for Montclair State, scored six goals and had eight assists in a 15-12 victory over Rowan, the Red Hawks' first defeat of the Profs since 1980. She was named the New Jersey Atlantic Conference player of the week for the third consecutive week and leads the league with 59 points in nine games.

Dynasty, an eighth-grader at Grand Blanc West Middle School, set a Michigan indoor track record in the 400 meters, running a time of 56.02 seconds in a meet against high school athletes. She also established two AAU youth national records in the 200 (26.38 seconds) and the 400 (57.48).
