Rachel, a senior pole vaulter at Vandebilt Catholic High, cleared 14 feet at the Nollie Arcement Relays, second-best ever among high school girls. A five-time indoor and outdoor state champion, she has twice been Gatorade state track and field athlete of the year.
Daniel O'Connor

O'Connor, 23, defeated Emmanuel Taylor by a 9-7 decision to win the 141-pound division of the U.S. Future Stars National Championship. He won five bouts in six days, all by decision, for a combined 64-22 score and was named the tournament's most outstanding boxer. He is a 2008 Olympic alternate.
Justin Schlecht

Schlecht, a 197-pound senior at Dickinson State who, as a South Dakota National Guard reserve, served 16 months in Iraq, won his third straight NAIA championship and was named National Wrestling Coaches Association NAIA wrestler of the year. He had a 140-22 career record with 69 pins.
Jherica Williams
PIQUA, OHIO > Softball
Williams, a senior catcher-outfielder at Wright State, leads Division I in RBIs (63 in 44 games) and is second in slugging (.950), third in average (.489) and tied for fourth in runs per game (1.05). She is a two-time Horizon League player of the week and ranks in the top 25 in on-base percentage and home runs.
Chris Johansen
ALBUQUERQUE > Basketball
Chris, a senior forward at St. Pius X High, has led the Sartans to three straight titles, averaging 24 points and 15 rebounds in the Class 4A finals during that stretch. He was Albuquerque player of the year and first team all-state for the second time. He set school records for career points (1,587) and rebounds (914).
Jamie Sellers
KENNEBUNK, MAINE > Lacrosse
Sellers, a senior midfielder at William & Mary, scored at least a hat trick in each of the Tribe's first 10 games, including a career-high eight goals in a win over Longwood. She was twice named Colonial Athletic Association player of the week. She has 60 goals this season.
