Phillip Chew
ORANGE, CALIF. > Badminton

Phillip, a freshman at Villa Park High, swept the boys' singles, boys' doubles and mixed doubles events to win the under-15 triple crown at both the U.S. junior nationals and the Pan Am junior championships. He has won a record 24 U.S. junior national titles.

Scott Buisson
METAIRIE, LA. > Football

Buisson, a sophomore quarterback at Arkansas-Monticello, passed for 424 yards and five TDs and rushed for 216 yards and two TDs in a 51-48 win over Henderson State; he is the first in NCAA history to surpass 400 yards throwing and 200 running. He completed 20 straight passes, tying the Division II record.

Amy Lewis
HAINESPORT, N.J. > Field Hockey

Lewis, a senior forward at Rutgers, has been Big East offensive player of the week three times this year; she leads Division I with 22 goals (1.57 per game) and is second with 47 points (3.36), the same ranks as last season, when she averaged 1.05 goals and 2.32 points. She has been all-league three times (first team twice).

Lauren Tomory
VICENZA, ITALY > Cross-country

Tomory, a senior at Furman, was Southern Conference athlete of the month in cross-country after placing second and third in her first career meets; a varsity tennis player for three years, she began racing this summer. In July she broke the Brook Road Academy 5K record, winning in 18:20.

Marcus Tracy
NEWTOWN, CONN. > Soccer

Tracy, a senior forward at Wake Forest, scored two game-winning goals in the same week to beat VCU and FIU; he was College Soccer News's National Player of the Week. He has 10 goals and six assists -- his 2.17 points per game ranks tied for fourth nationally -- and was the Most Outstanding Player of the 2007 College Cup

PELION, S.C. > Football

Elizabeth (far left) and Kaci, junior kickers at Pelion High, are believed to be the first two girls to score points for the same team in a varsity football game; on Sept. 12 each kicked an extra point in a 42-13 victory over Wagener-Salley.
