Allison Arnold
HIGHLAND PARK, TEXAS > Swimming

Allison, a junior at Highland Park High, won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle finals at the state 4A championships for the third straight year. Her times of 1:47.65 and 4:46.28, respectively, are state records and earned her 4A female swimmer of the year honors.

Danielle Lawrie
LANGLEY, B.C. > Softball

Lawrie, a junior pitcher at Washington, struck out 31 batters in two shutout wins over Nebraska and Ohio State, running her streak to 90 straight innings without allowing an earned run before it ended last week. Through Sunday the righthander was 18-1 and led the Pac-10 in ERA (0.27) and strikeouts (204).

James McAdoo
NORFOLK, VA. > Basketball

James, a 6' 8" sophomore forward at Norfolk Christian, scored a career-high 52 points in a win over Peninsula Catholic. Averaging 26.5 points, he led the Ambassadors (23-7) to the state private school Division 2 semifinals and, according to Scout.com, is the nation's top power forward in the class of 2011.

Willie Argo
DAVENPORT, IOWA > Baseball

Argo, a freshman rightfielder at Illinois, hit home runs in his first three collegiate at bats, against No. 1 LSU; he is believed to be the first player in NCAA history to do so. Argo scored a fourth run and finished with five RBIs in a 22-10 loss. He was all-state in four sports at Assumption High in Davenport.

Antonio Diaz-Gonzalez Salas
MEXICO CITY > Squash

Diaz-Gonzalez, a freshman at Connecticut College, was named New England Small College Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and first-team All-NESCAC following his 24-2 campaign. His efforts helped the Camels win the Conroy Division title at the Collegiate Squash Association championships.

Ethan Griffel
IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO > Swimming

Ethan, a junior at Idaho Falls High and the state class 5A record holder in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle, went undefeated in those two events against scholastic competition for the second straight season. His time of 46.41 seconds in the 100 free qualifies him for the USA Swimming Junior Nationals.
