Hannah Farmer
MARIETTA, GA > Volleyball

Hannah, a senior setter at Pope High, established a school record for assists in a match (55), helping the GReyhounds beat Walton in five sets to win the state Class AAAAA championship match. Last year's state runner-up, Pope finished 54-2 this year; Hannah ended the season with 1,076 assists and was named all-state.

Anne Riddle Lundblad
ASHEVILLE, N.C. > Ultrarunning

Lundblad, a 43-year-old counselor at Warren Wilson College, was the overall winner of the 24 Hours of Boulder, running 121 miles and finishing 21 miles ahead of the runner-up. Her total also broke the women's record for the event by 28 miles. Three weeks earlier she was the third in the Great Eastern Endurace Run 50K, but had the fastest time for a woman (5:02:46).

Brian Atkinson
MELBOURNE, FLA. > Cross Country

Brian, a senior at Melbourne High, won the state Class 4A tuitle for the third consecutive year (15:20.48), becoming the fourth male in Florida history to win three cross-country titles. He was an all-state honoree for the fourth straight year. This season Brian also won the Boys Race of Champions (15:13) at the Great American Cross-Country Festival,.

Buck Wakefield
DRUMMONDS, TENN. > Football

Wakefield, a senior at Carson-Newman, rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns in the NCAA Division II quarterfinals, becoming the school's career leader in rushing TDs with 48. He then scored all four of the Eagles' TDs in a semifinal loss. Also this season, Wakefield became the first player in school history to run for more than 300 yards in a game, doing it twice.

Taylor Burke
MEDINA, OHIO > Soccer

Taylor, a junior goalie at Medina High, had her 12th consecutive shutout and 18th of the season in a 4-0 win over Dublin Coffman in the state Division 1 championship game. She helped the Bees to a 21-1-2 record. As a sophomore Taylor was the girls' state high jump champion, outdoors (5'9") and indoors (5'11").

Pedro Schneider
BEL AIR, MD. > Volleyball

Pedro, a senior opposite hitter at C. Milton Wright High, had 27 kills and a .323 hitting percentage to lead the Mustangs to a 6-1 record and their second straight championship at the Hartford County tournament. He was named all-country for the third year in a row. The team went 15-0 to extend its regular-season winning streak to 35 matches, dating to 2007.
