Megan, a senior at Rochester High, won the Foot Locker Cross-Country Championships, edging Chelsey Sveinsson of Dallas at the finish line (17:07 was the time for both runners). Megan also won the state Division 1 championship for the second year in a row (16:54). Plus, she is the state champ in the outdoor 3,200 and 1,600.
Kendall Gaffney

Kendall, a senior outside hitter at Cheyenne Mountain High, had a match-high 14 kills in a three-set win over Lewis-Palmer to lead the Indians to their second straight Class 4A title. She was named MVP of the tournament and Class 4A player of the year after helping the team to a 31-0 record. Kendall has signed with Brown University.
Domonique Hayden

Domonique, a senior tailback at Lexington Christian Academy, rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns in a 55-19 win over Mayfield in the Class A championship game, extending his state career records for rushing touchdowns (120), total touchdowns (138) and total points (837). He was named all-state after leading the Eagles to a 14-1 record.
Jordan Spieth

Jordan, a junior at Jesuit College Prepatory, was named the American Junior Golf Associations's male Rolex Junior Player of the Year. A two-time All-America, he has held the top spot in the AJGA rankings since July. That month Jordan won the U.S. Junior Amateur with a 4-and-3 victory over Jay Hwang; in 2008, she lost in the semifinals.
Will Hoppes

Will, a senior quarterback at Tri-Cities Prep High, passed for 10 touchdowns and 552 yards in an 80-40 win over Lummi to lift the Jaguars to their first state Class 1B eight-man title. This season he broke national eight-man career records for completions (593), passing touchdowns (142), passing yards (10,537) and total yards (13,251).
Crystal Dunn

Crystal, a senior forward at South Side High, scored four goals in a 6-0 win over Greece Arcadia to lead the Cyclones to their fifth state Class A title in six seasons and earn game MVP honors. She scored a total of 10 goals in seven playoff games, including the lone goal in a 1-0 semifinal win over Eastchester. Crystal signed with North Carolina.
