NFL Trade Deadline

Randy Moss is the biggest name on the trading block as the Oct. 17 NFL trade deadline approaches. But is he the worth the trouble? If you were a GM, who would you dangle out there this weekend and who would you love to pick up.

The Vikings need to make a trade for a receiver, the ones they have suck. Williamson is a bust.

I'll trade for Cedric Benson to become a Texan.

I agree, but they should avoid Porter. He's just another Moss. The Purple should also be looking for some help at RB.

the vikings do not need a rb. they need a wr to open up the rushing game because c taylor is running against 8 men fronts.

Dallas will end up going after Moss. Him and TO will make great locker room chums.
The Patriots need a vertical receiver who can stretch the field and open up plays for Ben Watson, Maroney, Dillon, and co. Furthermore, they have a number one pick which to trade for him for. I would say pull the trigger and watch the Pats head for their fourth title this decade. He is the missing piece.

the steelers should look into duckett or chris brown. they need a big back to match up with willie parker - a bettis-type guy for late game and short yardage. najeh davenport is good, but his game seems more like quickness too, instead of straight-up bruising.

the lions shpuld pick up a young q.b. possibly matt schaub or david garrard to supplant kitna as q.b. in future. We should trade mike williams cause everybodys always intersested in wide reciever

The chiefs should trade for jerry porter.

I don't see why the Bears would even want to trade Benson, he's got tons of potential and a bright future in the NFL. Plus, running back tandems are flourishing in the league, for example the Saints, Colts, Chargers, and Falcons, just to name a few.

The Bears do need to trade Benson he is a top ten pick and he sits on the sideline. I dont blame them though for keeping with Jones.

Williamson blows, the Vikes should trade him and N. Harris for Randy Moss. Or wait, did that happen allready? The Vikes should do anyhting to get Moss back here (MN). I would be so pumped, but I know it will never happen!

I'll also trade for Cedric Benson to become a Texan, but as a UVa fan, I'm pulling for UVa grad Wali Lundy to move up on the Texans' depth chart. He looked good for them in the preseason. I'm also hoping the Texans nab Matt Schuab, also a UVa grad.

Why would Benson seek a trade when he's about to get a ring in his second year? He can test the free agent waters after he wins a SuperBowl.

The Raiders should trade for Matt Schaub now. The Chargers will hold onto Turner because a Super Bowl Title is forthcoming in 2007 following Dumbass Ball's Departure.

You guys are morons! Trading Benson is idiotic. Jones is only under contract until next year. The Bears just invested the 4th pick and tens of millions into this kid. He will be the starting running back on one of the best teams with an excellent O'line in a city that adores their RB's, and looks to be getting a fair amount of carries now! Stupid!!

If I were an NFL GM, I'd probably be looking to trade for QB Matt Schaub or RB Michael Turner, or even both, especially if I'm running a team in shambles. Then I would have to stock up on linemen (albeit with lower round picks) in next year's draft, but I'd have two important playmakers (young players) already on board at skill positions.

No help needed for the vikes at RB, Taylor's a workhorse, but at WR they need a savior, or at least some "stick um." Robinson and Williamson drop everything thrown to them, no idea who they should grab right now, but something needs to get shakin up.

Washington 'Skins should go after #4 Brett Farve, We need a Q.B that can run the Gibb's offense and get the ball to the high octane recievers with some power behind the ball.

CHARGERS! Moss would be the deep threat that this offence needs to take it all the way to the Super Bowl!
Posted: 5:08 PM   by Anonymous
Hey guys, the Vikes defense has as many TDs as their QB. The running game is there. The reciever's are OK. Mr. "Game Management" cannot consistantly put together drives. We'd love to get a guy like Shaub, but we don't have anything to give.

Michael Turner from the Chargers to the Philadelphia Eagles
Posted: 5:20 PM   by Anonymous
The Seahawks need Bret Favre. It would give him a chance to get a ring before he retires and add insurance if Hasselbeck goes down. Knowing the offense doesn't hurt either.

Skins should trade T.J. Duckett for a DB.
Posted: 5:34 PM   by Anonymous
The Texans need to trade David CARR for David GARRARD

steeler fan. the steelers should trade a no.1 for randy moss. the deep threat ben needs right now. they also should give a no.2 pick in 2008 for duckett. a bettis type guy. i don't see why cowher doesn't play staley. he help them win two games last year. the greenbay packers game and cleveland game late last year. these two picks will help Ben.
cedrick wilson is like your 3rd rec.

Mike Anderson should be traded from theRavens to the Texans for draft picks next year (like a 3rd and a 6th). He's worked with Kubiak for a long time, and showed on Monday night that he's a much better hoss than Jamal Lewis. The Ravens would still have two backs and picks next year.

This should have been 10 players who should want trades. The Chargers and Bears would be crazy to get rid of the quality talent they have as 2nd string backs.
Posted: 5:40 PM   by Anonymous
The Broncos could use a dominant defensive end, now that Courtney Brown is gone for the year, but where would they find one available?
Posted: 5:46 PM   by Anonymous
Brett Favre will never be traded!!!!! Give it up!If the falcons had any balls, they would play Schaub instead of that Vick fellow
Posted: 5:57 PM   by Anonymous
Nick Saban trades Daunte Culpepper for some Ramen Noodles, a Snickers Bar, and a "Future Beverage Consideration."
Posted: 6:00 PM   by Anonymous
As much as D.Davis has been hurt the last two years. And the trade for Gado or bringing in Dayne did not help the Texans. I say the Texans should trade for Cedric Benson (bring him home). This way we can use next years draft on an entire offensive line.
Posted: 10:54 PM   by Anonymous
The Jags and Raiders should find a way to swap David Gerrard for Jerry Porter.

The Vikings have now been involved in the two worst trades in teh history of the game. First was Herschal Walker debacle which made Jimmy Jones seem to be a great coach. That one hurt them. However, they made up for that one with the Daunte trade. With Daunte in the lineup, the Vikings would be 0-5. Instead, they have 3.5 wins (I give them a .5 win against Chicago since they had them dominated except for 1 second half play). Sorry Dolphin fans and you should thank the best coach in football for recognizing that early and benching him. However, Saban's choices in QB are like choosing the fat girl or the fat girl with classes for prom date.

I belive that Michael Turner is the missing piece to the jets making the playoffs.. Pennington is hot right now and the line is good enough and the receivers are solid... if they get a home run threat like turner, they will have a solid offense. I honestly would love to see what a back that is outperforming tomlinson would do with 25-30 carries a game.. He is the NFL's next superstar at the runningback position. He is impact and the chargers know it.. that is why they will not trade him unless its for a high draft pick. WHy else would they give him as many carries as tomlinson?? Not because he is outperforming him in all aspects or anything.

With the Redskins in need of a real QB and Farve and the Pack going no-where, this would be a pick-up right in line with what the Danny has always done. All the firepower the skins have and with Farve still able to sling it, this match would be made in heaven..and so would the final scores of all the games.
