The Seeds, The Seeds!

The No. 1s are out. If the bracket plays out perfectly, we'll get a Duke-Memphis and UConn-Villanova Final Four. Two rematches from the regular season.

Initial bracket thoughts? Mine: The committee made the right call on Duke as the No. 1 overall seed. UConn sealed its own fate (albeit still a pretty good fate) by going one-and-done in the Big East tournament. And although the committee didn't get to consider the Big Ten tournament final, it was correct in choosing Memphis over OSU.

Thanks for the Memphis love. They may not be the best #1 seed ever (still a year out), but they are better than any other options.

To bad they got the worst travel to Oaktown! Do they even have an arena? Is memphis gonna play in The Coliseum?

Based on their comments, next year the NCAA should just let Nance/Packer make the selections. They obviously know more than the selection committee.

I like the #1 seeds but it is clear Duke is going to win the national championship

Jay Bilas and Digger Phelps can go to hell.
They said beforehad that Ohio State should get the One seed over Memphis, and after admitting that Memphis WAS a one seed, the bastards said that Memphis will be the first One seed to lose.
NOVA will be the first One seed o lose. Write it down.

Glenn, dude. Relax. If you are right, then you can gloat. If you are wrong, the only hell involved will be from the dissing you get from everyone who disagrees with you.

There was no Boston College love..we beat Unc twice and had a better record and they still got the three seed over boston college and bc got a 4 seed.

BC looks strong, I thought they had the Dookies til JJs two daggers in the end. UConn (in spite of their loss to Cuse) might be the most dominate team in this year's madness, but a lot of seeds are going down for sure.

Let the games begin ...

I agree with Glenn - Jay Bilas and Digger Phelps and the guys predicting Memphis out early are just plain wrong. They only lost 3 games and none by a blowout. They have already beaten every heavy hitter but Kansas in their bracket. Any team can get hot and if the more talented team is running cold you can have an upset, but there are plenty of talented athletic players on Memphis and Coach Calapari knows what he is doing. He has took UMass to the final 4 out of a weak conference. You just wait and see what he does.

What difference does it make as to who's the "overall" #1 seed? If it's the "overall" #1 seed or the 16th seed, you still have to go 6-0 to win the tournament!
