College Football's Best Uniforms

Oakland Arena
Texas tops our list of the best uniforms in college football. Do you agree?
Last week we brought you our picks for 10 ugliest uniforms in college football. This week, we're giving you a more aesthetically pleasing list – the 10 best uniforms. Some schools have a classic look, some have great helmets, others have color schemes that look so good we'd proudly splash them on our living room walls (or at least our basement walls). Here are our picks:

1. Texas
2. Michigan
3. Auburn
4. Yale
5. Notre Dame (blue)
6. Wofford
7. Ohio State
8. Georgia Southern
9. USC
10. Georgia

Did we forget about your school? Can you not believe Georgia Southern is the number-on-the-helmet team listed and not Alabama? Let us know who you think should be in the Top 10.

The Best Graduation Speech You Ever Heard

Oakland Arena
Yogi Berra gave an entertaining graduation speech at St. Louis University. Who is the best speaker you've ever heard?
Graduation season is just about over and just in case you didn't catch everything, we have provided you with some of our favorite nuggets including Brian Billick ("In a bacon-and-egg breakfast, the chicken is involved, but the pig is committed. Be that pig."), Yogi Berra ("Work hard to reach your goals, and if you can't reach them, use a ladder.") and Bernie Williams ("You have to feel that every day you're getting closer and closer to where you need to be.").

Today, we want you to take a trip down memory lane and tell us who was the best graduation speaker you ever heard and what advice they offered. Our favorite is the late David Halberstam, whose simple message to me and my fellow graduates was "never let them intimidate you." Short, simple and straight to the point. Who was yours?

We're Sick of the Same Old Story

We're sick of seeing this picture over and over. What about you?
Peter Read Miller/SI
We've spotted some odds for the 2008 BCS national championship and all of the familiar faces are at the top of the list. USC is the favorite at 5-2 and will face defending-champion Florida (7-1 odds) in the title game if the odds hold true. Trojan and Gator fans are no doubt thrilled to see that their teams are, yet again, favored to bring home the hardware, but far from sharing in their joy, we're rolling our eyes and saying, "not again." It's fun to get behind a dominant team every so often, but really, enough is enough.

With the Patriots in the NFL, the Spurs in the NBA, USC in college football and Florida in college everything, dynasties have become ubiquitous lately, which makes them more annoying than exciting.

We want to see fresh faces (or helmets) in the BCS this year. Arizona, Brigham Young, Boston College, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Kansas State, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, South Florida and Texas Tech are all listed at 200-1. Wouldn't it be nice to see one of these schools -- or at least a school like Georgia that has been highly ranked but hasn't had a crack at the title -- hoisting the trophy instead of USC or Florida? Will anyone else vomit if they have to watch Pete Carroll kiss that crystal ball one more time?
