Kansas City Wizards midfielder Preki scored two goals and added an assist as the Western Conference claimed a 6-4 victory in the MLS All-Star Game in San Diego. The Eastern Conference rallied from a 4-1 deficit to tie the score, but late goals by San Jose Clash teammates Mauricio Wright and Ronald Cerritos clinched the West win. Preki, the league's 1997 MVP, holds the MLS records for goals (4) and total points (11) in All-Star play. The game was a typical MLS All-Star goalfest.
