SAN JOSE, California (AP) -- San Jose's Jeff Baicher had a goal and an assist and Eddie Lewis added two assists as the Clash beat the Chicago Fire 3-0 Wednesday night.

Braeded Cloutier chest-trapped a pass from Baicher in the 32nd minute and scored from 20 yards out to give the Clash its first goal of the game.

Baicher later scored his shot on an empty net after San Jose forward Ronald Cerritos collided with Chicago goalkeeper Jorge Campos, taking Campos out of position.

Eric Wynalda added the Clash's third goal in the 77th minute, scoring from 15 yards out on a pass from Lewis.

The Clash (8-13) earned its first victory in regulation since May 23.

The Fire, struggling without injured playmaker Peter Nowak, dropped to 13-9.
