Columbus quiets the Revolution

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Stern John scored two goals and Robert Warzycha assisted on two as the Columbus Crew snapped a three-game losing streak and beat the New England Revolution 6-1 in Major League Soccer Saturday night.

The six goals were the most scored by the Crew this season.

John scored his first goal in the 32nd minute to give the Crew (10-11) a 2-0 lead. He scored the Crews' sixth goal in the 84th minute.

Warzycha assisted on John's first goal and on a goal by Brian McBride in the 41st minute.

The Crew got its first goal in the 26th minute by Jason Farrell.

The Crew also got goals from Thomas Dooley and Rob Smith in the second half.

The lone goal for the Revolution (7-17) came in the 89th minute by Raul Diaz Arce.
