SAN JOSE, California (AP) -- David Kramer made seven saves and five different Clash players scored Sunday as San Jose beat the New York-New Jersey MetroStars 5-1.

Defender John Doyle began the scoring for the Clash (9-14) in the 20th minute. Braeden Cloutier broke a 1-1 tie in the 60th minute, when he pounced on a loose ball and beat Tony Meola with a shot inside the far post.

Oscar Draguicevich, Eric Wynalda and Victor Mella also scored second-half goals for the Clash, who broke the MetroStars' three-game winning streak. Diego Sonora scored the MetroStars only goal on a penalty kick in the first half.

The MetroStars (12-10) played a man short for the final 18 minutes after Kerry Zavagnin received his second yellow card of the day.
