Revolution rookie forward Pat Noonan is coming on strong at the end of the regular season. He was named MLS Player of the Month for the month of October as well as MLS Player of the Week for Week 30.
Noonan netted three goals for the Revolution in their 5-2 win over the MetroStars on October 25 at Gillette Stadium to close out the regular season.
The Revs closed out the regular season with two wins in a home-home series versus the MetroStars.
Noonan has scored 10 goals this season, seven against the MetroStars, and is a candidate for MLS Rookie of the Year. Noonan was also named Player of the Week in Week 23 after a two-goal performance vs. the MetroStars on September 13.
The Revs are 6-0-1 in their last seven games heading into their first playoff game this weekend against the MetroStars. This is the second consecutive year that the Revs’ late-season push has solidified playoff hopes. Last season, the Revs went 5-0-1 in their last six games and claimed the Eastern Conference crown before losing 1-0 to the L.A. Galaxy in overtime at Gillette Stadium in MLS Cup.
