Streak: Won 1 FC Utrecht finished a disappointing season with a 3-0 win at last-place FC Den Bosch. Midfielder Dave van den Bergh opened the scoring in the ninth minute and defender Verhaegh doubled the lead at the break. Again Van den Bergh sealed Den Bosch's fate in the last minute. FC Utrecht's average home attendance increased by more than 13 percent to 19,611. Hans van de Haar was the club's top scorer with nine goals. Michael Mols leaves the club this summer, but he might return as member of the technical staff. The 34-year-old striker returned to FC Utrecht last year in November from Rangers FC in Scotland. Including his first period in Utrecht (1996-99), he made 107 league appearances, in which he scored 50 goals. Harry van den Ham becomes assistant coach of Foeke Booy. The present coach of TOP Oss signed a two-year contract.
