Facts
Spain scored 22 goals in the 1997 competition in Egypt, which is the highest number of goals scored over the course of the U-17 Championship.
Trinidad and Tobago is competing in its first ever U-17 Championship.
The greatest number of spectators to watch a match in the history of the U-17 Championship is 80,000 at Beijing, China on August 11, 1985.
The United States is the only team to appear in all eight U-17 tournaments since its inception, but they have never made it to the final game.
