Jancker's goal gives Germans 1-1 tie Posted: Friday October 11, 2002 5:34 PMSARAJEVO (Reuters) -- Towering striker Carsten Jancker's second-half goal gave World Cup finalists Germany a 1-1 draw in a friendly against Bosnia on Friday. Elvir Baljic put the home side ahead on 21 minutes after a mistake by full-back Carsten Ramelow who headed a high ball straight to Bosnian midfielder Edin Mujcin. His defense-splitting pass found Baljic alone 16 meters out and the forward made no mistake. Germany could have leveled in the 35th minute when Muhamed Konjic was judged to have brought Jancker down in the box but Torsten Frings shot over the bar from the penalty spot. The second half started with the sending off of Bosnia's Hasan Salihamidzic and Germany's Christian Woerns and the Germans dominated the game from then on. Jancker converted a 56th minute cross from Sebastian Kehl at the far post to grab the equalizer.
