Notes: For the first time in European club competition, two
teams who share a stadium have been drawn together, making the concept of home and away legs virtually irrelevant. The two have never met in Europe before and AC have never had to face another Italian team before. In the Italian league, AC have had the better of recent games, triumphing in both derby matches at the San Siro this season and winning five and drawing one of the last eight.
Inter have played Italian opposition at the San Siro three times before and have always won without conceding a goal.
