MIAMI (AP) -- Kaka scored twice as Brazil defeated Colombia 2-0 in a CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinal match Saturday night.

Brazil's victory sets a semifinal match against the United States on Wednesday at the Orange Bowl. The U.S. team advanced by beating Cuba 5-0 earlier Saturday.

Kaka's second goal of the match sealed the win in the 66th minute. He moved the ball to an area near the half circle, then curved a left-footed shot inside the left post.

Brazil also controlled the first half, finally breaking through in the 42nd minute. From the left wing, Robinho centered a pass to an open Kaka, whose 25-yard shot landed inside the right post.

Colombian sub Julian Vasquez was ejected in the 82nd minute for his hard foul on Julio Baptista. Vasquez also had Colombia's best scoring opportunity of the second half, but his shot from the right wing was deflected aside by Brazilian goalkeeper Gomes.

Colombia won Group B of the tournament's round-robin opening round, allowing only one goal in its first two matches.
