BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -- Real Sociedad dealt another blow to Sevilla's slumping season with a 2-1 home win Thursday that kept the Basque club unbeaten in seven rounds of the Spanish league.

Carlos Vela opened for Sociedad in the 18th when he slotted a left-footed shot past goalkeeper Diego Lopez.

Gary Medel leveled for Sevilla in the 50th, but Alberto de la Bella reached Carlos Martinez's cross to put Sociedad back in front for good in the 68th.

Jorge "Coke'' Moreno left Sevilla with 10 men from the 74th when he received his second booking.

Sevilla is winless in five games and with just one victory in its last nine, adding more pressure on coach Michel Gonzalez heading into the winter break.

Also, Espanyol beat Deportivo La Coruna 2-0, and Rayo Vallecano downed Levante 3-0.
