AMSTERDAM (AP) -- PSV Eindhoven thrashed NAC Breda 6-1 in the Dutch league on Saturday, guaranteeing that Dick Advocaat's team will remain atop the standings through the winter break.

Striker Jeremain Lens scored twice for PSV in the first 20 minutes, slotting in the rebound from his own missed penalty for the second, and the outcome was never in doubt despite the game being played on a poor pitch in a cold, heavy rain.

FC Twente is tied with PSV at 40 points each after winning 3-0 at AZ Alkmaar on Friday; Nacer Chadli scored twice for Twente. Eindhoven leads standings on goal difference. Ajax is in third place with 36 points and faces a strong opponent in FC Utrecht on Sunday.
