VALENCIA, Spain (AP) -- Valencia says striker Roberto Soldado will miss Wednesday's Copa del Rey match against Real Madrid because of a leg injury.

The Spanish club says Soldado hurt a muscle in his left leg during its 5-0 loss to Madrid in Sunday's league game.

Valencia hosts Madrid on Wednesday needing to overcome a 2-0 loss in the opening leg to reach the Copa del Rey semifinals.

Soldado is Valencia's leading scorer with 11 league goals.
