ANKARA, Turkey (AP) -- Turkish side Bursaspor says Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand is joining the club on loan until the end of the season.

In a statement posted on its website Tuesday, the top-flight Turkish club said Ferdinand had agreed to the terms of a loan deal that includes the possibility for Bursaspor to buy the player at the end of the season.

The club says the 27-year-old Ferdinand passed his medical and a signing ceremony will be held Wednesday.

Ferdinand joined QPR from Sunderland in 2011.

Bursaspor is currently seventh in the Turkish league. The club won the league title in 2010.
