Liverpool's Jamie Carragher to retire, 700-plus games |

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) -- Liverpool says long-serving defender Jamie Carragher will retire at the end of the season.
The 35-year-old Carragher has been at Liverpool since the age of 9.
Carragher says Thursday, "it has been a privilege and an honor to represent this great club for as long as I have.''
Only Ian Callaghan has made more appearances for Liverpool than the 700-plus by Carragher.
