Tijuana's unexpected victory over Corinthians one week ago has officially lost its luster. Corinthians dominated the return leg of the teams' Copa Libertadores group stage tie Wednesday night, scoring early and dominating proceedings with a 3-0 victory at Paulo Machado de Carvalho stadium in São Paulo.

Americans Joe Corona and Greg Garza both played in the match, while fellow United States squad member Edgar Castillo sat out as he continues recovering from facial injuries suffered three weeks ago. Corona started the match but was substituted at halftime while Garza came on as a 61st minute substitute.

Former AC Milas striker Alexandre Pato scored the first of Corinthians' goals, but soon after had to be removed due to injury. His absence didn't seem to bother the home side, as the scored again through striker José Paulo Guererro in the 36th minute and then completed the rout with a headed tally from Paulinho in the 82nd minute.
